This Privacy Policy explains how betterbusiness GmbH ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses and shares personal data when you visit realtimesolarleads.com or contact us through this website, and what rights you have.

The short version: We collect the business contact details you enter in our forms so we can respond to your inquiry and prepare an offer. We do not sell this data, and this website currently uses no cookies and no analytics or advertising tracking. You can object to being contacted and exercise your privacy rights at any time. California residents: see our California Privacy Notice.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the website realtimesolarleads.com. The website is addressed to businesses, in particular solar companies interested in our lead generation services. It is not addressed to consumers.

Homeowners looking for solar quotes use getsolarquotes.com, which has its own privacy policy.

3. Data we collect through forms

When you submit a form on this website, we collect the information you enter:

  • your name (or first and last name)
  • company or business name
  • work email address
  • phone number

Depending on the form, we also collect:

  • your service area (ZIP codes or city)
  • the trial package you selected
  • your preferred time for a call

Together with your entries, we record the URL of the page on which you submitted the form, the type of form and the time of submission, so we know which request you made.

If you reached this website through an ad, we also record the click identifier contained in the page address (for example Google gclid, gbraid or wbraid, or Microsoft msclkid), campaign parameters (utm_ values) and the referring page. These values are read from the page address when you submit the form. They are not stored on your device.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We use the data from your form submission to respond to your inquiry and to prepare an offer for you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as this processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We also process your business contact data on the basis of our legitimate interest in business-to-business sales communication, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to present our services to businesses that have shown interest in them.

5. Recipients and service providers

Hosting: Vercel Inc. (USA)

This website is hosted and delivered by Vercel Inc., USA. When you visit the website, technically necessary server log data is processed, in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested URL and your browser's user agent. This processing is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of our website, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Form delivery: FormSubmit (formsubmit.co)

Form submissions are transmitted through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-to-email service that forwards your submission to our sales team by email.

Lead management system

Your submission, including the click identifier and campaign parameters, is stored in our internal lead management system so that we can handle your request and evaluate which of our ads lead to inquiries and customers.

Advertising platforms: Google and Microsoft (conversion measurement)

To measure the effectiveness of our ads, we may report to Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) or Microsoft Advertising (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited / Microsoft Corporation) that a click identified by its click identifier led to an inquiry or a customer relationship, together with the time and, where applicable, a conversion value ("offline conversion import"). We do not transmit your name, email address or phone number in this process. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring and improving our advertising, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You may object at any time by emailing info@betterbusiness.com.

Our sales team

Within betterbusiness GmbH, your data is accessible only to the members of our sales team who handle your request.

We do not sell the personal data collected on this website and do not pass it on to solar companies or other lead buyers.

6. Data transfers to the United States

Some of the service providers named above process data in the United States. Where personal data is transferred to a country outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, we make sure that appropriate safeguards are in place, for example certification of the provider under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.

7. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are hosted on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts is established when you visit the website.

8. Cookies and tracking

This website currently uses no cookies and no analytics or advertising tracking scripts. Click identifiers and campaign parameters are only read from the page address when you submit a form, as described above. If this changes, we will ask for your consent where required and update this policy.

9. Telephone and email communications

If you submit a form, we contact you by phone or email only in response to your request, about your request and our services.

Opting out: You can ask to be placed on our internal do-not-call list during any call, or email info@betterbusiness.com to object to further contact.

10. Retention

We keep your data for as long as it is needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship. After that, we delete it unless statutory retention periods require us to keep it longer.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

This website is intended for business use only and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact info@betterbusiness.com and we will delete it.

14. Your rights under the GDPR

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  • the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • the right to withdraw any consent you have given, at any time and with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. Where we process your data for direct marketing, you can object at any time without giving reasons.

To exercise your rights, email info@betterbusiness.com with the subject line "Privacy Request".

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority responsible for us: the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information).

15. U.S. state privacy rights

Most comprehensive U.S. state privacy laws, such as those of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Texas, do not apply to individuals acting in a commercial or employment context. Because this website is addressed to businesses, these laws generally do not cover the information you submit here on behalf of your company.

California is different: the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) also applies to individuals acting on behalf of a business. California residents can find their rights in our California Privacy Notice.

Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, and we will honor these requests where feasible.

How to submit a request

Email info@betterbusiness.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We verify your identity before responding and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorization.

Appeals

If we decline your privacy request, we will tell you why. You may appeal that decision within a reasonable time by replying to our response or by emailing info@betterbusiness.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal". We will respond to your appeal in writing within 45 days and explain the reasons for our decision. If your appeal is denied, we will provide contact details for submitting a complaint to your state attorney general.

16. California residents

If you are a California resident, please see our California Privacy Notice. It includes our Notice at Collection, the categories of personal information we collect and your rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, our services or the legal requirements change. Material changes will be indicated by updating the date at the top of this page and, where required, by additional notice. The current version is always available on this page.
